Data Deletion Instructions

You can ask me to delete everything I hold about you, at any time, for any reason, and you don't need to give one. It's free, and I'll confirm in writing when it's done.

What data this covers

If you have messaged my Instagram professional account or Facebook Page, commented on my posts, or sent an enquiry, I may hold:

How to request deletion

Use whichever of these three is easiest. They all get to the same place.

1. Message me on the platform

Send DELETE as a direct message from the same Instagram or Facebook account you used before. That's the fastest route, because it proves the account is yours automatically.

If you also want the automated messages to stop right now, send STOP — it takes effect immediately.

2. Email me

Write to [email protected] with the subject line Data deletion request.

Include the Instagram handle, Facebook name, or email address you used, so I can find the right record. Without one of these I may not be able to identify your data.

What happens, and when

StepTimeline
I acknowledge your requestWithin 3 working days
I may ask one question to verify you control the accountOnly if the request didn't come from that account or the email on file
Your record is deletedWithin 30 days of the request
I confirm deletion in writingSame day as deletion

What gets deleted

What I may have to keep, and why

I'll be straight with you about the exceptions, because a policy claiming to delete absolutely everything wouldn't be truthful.

What's keptWhy
Your platform user ID plus an "opted out" flag — nothing elseSo I can keep honouring your request never to be contacted again. Without it, I couldn't reliably guarantee that.
Invoices and financial records, if you were a paying clientIndian tax law requires these to be retained
Records subject to an active legal claimLegally required to preserve until resolved

If you'd rather the opt-out flag were also deleted, say so and I'll remove it — but then I can't promise you won't be contacted again in future.

Data held by Instagram and Facebook themselves

The copy of our conversation inside the Instagram or Facebook app is controlled by Meta, not by me — deleting my records doesn't remove it from their systems. To handle that side:

If you're not happy with my response

Email me first — most things I can fix the same day. If that doesn't resolve it, you can escalate to the Data Protection Board of India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, or to your own national data protection authority if you're in the EU or UK.
